In the cellar, our new winemaker, Caryn Harrison, brings both technical precision and a fresh, creative energy. She’s crafting our first wines at Materra Winery in Oak Knoll, a custom crush facility where our early tasting samples show incredibly vibrant color, structure, and the mountain-grown purity that has defined Newton’s signature style.

Our vineyard is in the hands of Hugo Maldonado, whose father managed Newton Vineyard for many years. Hugo himself began working these slopes at just 12 years old, and we are thrilled to have him shaping every decision we make.

On the direct-to-consumer side, Chris Ryan leads a focused, hands-on approach to rebuilding Newton’s connection with its community. With a background as a sommelier and a career rooted in wine marketing and hospitality, he brings both deep wine knowledge and a thoughtful, personal approach to storytelling. His passion for Napa Valley and its wines is evident in every interaction, helping to ensure that each touchpoint feels authentic, engaging, and true to the spirit of Newton.
