Our annual collaboration with established and emerging artists celebrates the purist, “made by hand” approach to Newton winemaking. Each year’s partnership produces a one-of-a-kind work inspired by nature and shaped by each artist’s unique vision.
2010
Newton Vineyard has partnered with contemporary American glass artist John Pomp to create “The Touch,” a limited edition Newton decanter, inspired by the winery’s Spring Mountain Estate and iconic Unfiltered line of wines. Each of the 100 mouth-blown pieces are made from 30% recycled glass and are numbered and signed by John Pomp. Pomp’s approach to glassblowing closely mirrors Newton’s approach to winemaking, as they both guide nature to realize its full potential. The result of this fitting collaboration is an elegant, original decanter that is a perfect choice for any wine enthusiast.

2009
Using reclaimed oak from a 300-year-old wine merchant from Bristol, as well as previously used Newton Vineyard barrels, emerging artist Claire Danthois created this Tasting Bar to embody the winery’s Nature by Design philosophy. This custom-designed piece was produced with the same guiding philosophy as the wine it showcases; meticulously crafted to create a unique expression of purity. Danthois gained inspiration from Newton’s terraced vineyards and natural wines during her visit to the winery in September 2008. Currently on display at the winery. Please contact us for price.
